Some of the public green spots in the Jordaan are locked off, in spite that they are subsidized by all Amsterdammers. Some of the un-gardens are even designed by a paid garden architect. To visit these green spots, the first thing to do is trying to find the key. The "public" part is only fot the keyholders who live just around it but who don't want to pay for laying-out and maintenance themself.
